When a writer is developing a new idea, good help can be hard to find. Finding writers groups isn’t always easy — or even the best choice for all writers. That’s why The Search Party is a personal way for authors to interact and grow as writers. It’s designed to help new and experienced writers hone their stories in a safe environment that will generate quality feedback. Our editorial director, vice president, and founder take each case on to ensure it is properly assigned.
In this developmental process, the Book Puma Services team works with a writer, taking the idea they have and creating customized questions to aid in developing the story and streamline the writing process. The Search Party is not a full-time developmental edit, but a voice and director to help authors only when they need it.
However, we hope authors will build a relationship with our team, and particularly the person assigned to their project. If an author wants to keep working with their editor after the initial Search Party questions and discussion are done, they will get billed at a rate of $175 per hour for this continued coaching.
